Hand in hand with “Accion Psoriasis” we have have set up the “It’s Psoriasis. So what?!” campaign, an event that will take place on Saturday 19 June simultaneously on beaches in Barcelona, Gijon, Huelva, Las Palmas and Valencia. The goal is to normalize this chronic skin condition which affects around 2% of the world’s population (approximately 1,300,000 men and women in Spain).

The event includes a press conference, as well as handing out brochures. Moreover, at the end of the campaign, Accion Psoriasis will raffle off an iPad mini amongst all the participants who have taken a photo with a transfer during the event. You will be able to follow the event en the Facebook page of Accion Psoriasis, and throught Twitter.

Psoriasis is an illness that draws attention because of its visibility, and due to ignorance, psoriasis can lead to social rejection or discrimination. That’s why, with this campaign to promote understanding and sensitivity, we explain that it is a non-contagious disease, and thanks to current treatment, most patients can lead normal lives.
